The future development of Legacy Village of Cleveland is approximately 56,000 square feet. The facility will offer 39 studio, one-bedroom, and two bedroom assisted living suites; and 32 studio and companion memory care suites, focusing on those seniors who have Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.  

The assisted living suites will offer 39 studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments; The Harbor memory care will offer studio and companion suites. 

The building will include a beautiful dining room with great views of the rolling hills, chapel, lobby with fireplace, library, arts and crafts room, exercise rooms, plenty of space – indoor and outdoor—to sit and visit, and a private dining room for smaller family events.  Amazing outdoor spaces will include porches and sitting areas to enjoy great views of the beautiful hills of southeast Tennessee. 

The memory care wing, The Harbor, has been designed utilizing the latest research in the field of Alzheimer’s. The interior design of The Harbor will utilize a 1950’s theme that reminds those suffering with memory loss of happier times in the past.  Ownership has utilized this design theme in other memory care facilities and it has proven to provide a calming and enjoyable environment for the residents.  Also, various technologies will be utilized in the facility to provide cutting edge services to enhance the resident’s lives.  One such technology, SimpleC, is an electronic storyboard that utilizes a system of non-drug therapies and includes specific life-stories of residents that enhance memory retention and provides calming therapies.  SimpleC is the result of years of research among leading universities such as Emory, Georgia Tech, Penn and Copper Ridge Institute.  The Harbor will work with researchers from these institutions and others to improve the lives of residents while attempting to improve the Alzheimer’s disease process.
