From one-room schoolhouses to university lecture halls, these incredible individuals have spent decades guiding and inspiring generations of students. Dr. Kennith Calvert: Dr. Calvert dedicated approximately 40 years to education, teaching early childhood education in Jacksonville, AL, and serving as a professor at Jacksonville State University.
Dorothy Rogers: Dorothy spent her teaching career impacting high school students in Gadsden, AL.
Merrell Bryant: Beginning her teaching journey in 1954, Merrell taught 1st grade in Memphis, substitute-taught in Alaska, and devoted 14 years to teaching 5th grade in Anniston, AL.

Julie Cramer: Driven by the belief that “there’s no such thing as can’t,” Julia taught home economics and later earned her master’s degree to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults and children.

Linda Hadden: Linda taught elementary and junior high for 15 years before earning her degree in library science and serving at the Duplin County Library for 20 years.
Diane Brown: An Auburn University graduate, Diane dedicated her life to education and family, teaching across Alabama and spending a year teaching in California.

Catherine Wood: Catherine combined her love for nutrition and education during a 27-year career teaching junior high basic education, social studies, and working with the Alabama State Extension.
Beadie Davison: Beadie spent 30 years teaching home economics at Harper High School, connecting deeply with her students on the importance of nutrition.
Chris Harper: A geology scholar, Chris taught at the university level for decades—including Florida State University, New Hampshire, and New Zealand—and taught English while serving a mission in Romania.

Gerry King: Gerry spent 25 years as a kindergarten teacher assistant, always remarking that she learned just as much from her young students as they did from her.
