Legacy Senior Living Celebrates CNA Week: Come Meet a Few of Our CNAs!

Our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are vital to the day-to-day operation at each of Legacy Senior Living’s communities, ensuring that residents receive compassionate and competent care while maintaining their dignity and quality of life. CNAs are the heart and soul of our community, the first to offer hospitality and comfort; they are those who not only provide care but who also fill the role of being the hands and feet of our residents. Legacy Senior Living wants to spend a moment recognizing the hard work and dedication of a few members of their CNA team.

Brittany Harrell has served as a CNA at Legacy for two and a half years and has loved every minute of it. Always drawn to helping people, Brittany finds working with seniors to be enriching and enlivening. What she loves most is hearing about the lives they have lived. Brittany enjoys reading and spending time with her children, Javier and Annabell, extended family and friends.

Leslie Reyes has been a CNA at Legacy for over twelve years, which speaks to the passion she holds for serving the elderly. Leslie’s favorite part of the job is listening to the residents’ stories and simply helping the residents perform daily tasks. Originally from the Philippines, Leslie now lives in Rome with her husband, Jeff, and four-year-old, Jack.

Justina Garcia has served at at Legacy for over eleven years, but the bonds she has created with the residents and their families has made the time fly by. Justina cherishes the life lessons and laughter the residents have to share. Justina’s eight-year-old son, Jayceon, also loves coming to work with Justina and hang out with the residents.

Kimberly Snow has been serving as a CNA at Legacy for eight years and caring for the residents is what truly brings her joy. Having grown up in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, Kimberly always knew that she wanted to care for the elderly. In her free time, she loves to swim, shop and spend time with her dog, Dreamer, and extended family.

Victoria Proffitt has served at Legacy for three years, and according to her, the best part of the job is getting to be the residents’ friend. Victoria loves to bring smiles and laughter to each day, making her job feel full and fruitful. Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Victoria spends her free time writing, reading, enjoying nature and loving on her four cats, Willow, Wolfgang, Leila and Angel.

Lateshia Rooks has been serving as a CNA at Legacy for nearly eight years and has truly found her passion and purpose. Lateshia loves each resident like a family member and goes out of her way to not only provide compassionate care but also to put smiles on their faces. In addition to spending time with her husband, Taurean, and son, Jayden, Lateshia loves reading, working on crossword puzzles and watching old TV shows.

Tacarra Ward (pictured below in pink) has only just started her journey as a CNA at Legacy, but ever since she was young, she has wanted to work with the elderly. In even such a short span of time, Tacarra has fallen in love with the residents and all the laughter and story-telling the residents have to share. Tacarra loves spending time with her mom, Elizabeth, and two daughters, Melanie and Chloe, listening to music and being outside.

Kelsey Lehman (pictured above in gray) has been a CNA at Legacy for close to three years. Kelsey loves having the opportunity to connect with residents by getting to know their life experiences and stories and learning from their good life advice. She insists that her “second family” help her become a better person. Kelsey comes from a large family with many pets and loves to be with them, but she also enjoys traveling, playing tennis and being outside.

Nana Boateng has served as a CNA at Legacy for just over a year, and she has loved every minute of getting to know the residents. Learning about the lives of each resident is her passion as she feels that it leads to being able to show them love, support, care and compassion more fully. Originally from Ghana, Nana loves movies, singing and reading.

Stella Aboagye has been a part of the Legacy team for ten months, but she already feels like part of the family. Stella’s favorite part of being at Renaissance is simply being a part of the residents’ lives. She feels fulfilled and purposeful being able to provide care and happiness to those who need it. Also from Ghana, Stella loves music, dancing and whatever makes her smile.

Legacy Senior Living recognizes that being a CNA is a demanding job that requires resilience, empathy and commitment to others. Legacy Senior Living is grateful for each and every one of their CNAs who really go above and beyond in their care.
