Judy Hall Lippincott was born in Moultrie, Georgia to John and Annie Mae Hall. She is the oldest of five children. Judy’s life is defined by education: her own and the education she gave to others. After graduating from Norman Park School in 1971, she attended Tift College, receiving a degree in Behavioral Science with a minor in Physical Education. Continuing her education, Judy attended Albany State University for her Master’s in Educational Leadership and Valdosta State University for Teacher Leadership.
While accompanying a friend for a job interview as a Special Education teacher at New Hope School in Ocala, Florida, Judy wound up with the job instead. She taught learners with severe-profound intellectual disorders from ages 6-21 for three years. Judy then found a position at Lake Weir High School for emotionally disturbed children where she also helped design the Special Education department at the school. Judy took a break from teaching as she homeschooled her two children and worked as a secretary at a church. In 1995, Judy returned to Georgia where she took a position at Irwin County High School where she taught Special Education classes and pregnant and parenting teens for 13 years.
What marks Judy’s career is her ability to help learners of all kinds develop skills to face the challenges of life and become productive and contributing members of society upon graduating. She excelled as a Special Education teacher, receiving the Teacher of the Year award at each school she taught at.
Judy moved to Legacy Village of Tifton in 2021 and is having the most wonderful experience, making a lot of friends and having a lot of adventures. Both of her daughters still live close by and visit Legacy Village often. She enjoys playing board games with them.
