Legacy’s Centenarians: The Life Story of Bueris Crumpton
Ms. Bueris Crumpton was born in Mitchell County, Georgia, and raised in Cook County. Growing up during a time when high school education only went up to the 11th grade, she completed her schooling before marrying the love of her life, Woodrow Crumpton. Mr. Woodrow served our country during World War II, while Ms. Bueris remained at home caring for their two sons, Michael and Roger. Sadly, Mr. Woodrow passed away in 2022, a loss deeply felt by the family.
Ms. Bueris briefly worked in retail sales at Houston Drugs in Perry, Georgia, but her primary role was as a dedicated housewife and mother, raising her boys and nurturing their home. A devout member of Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Lenox, Georgia, Bueris has always cherished her faith and community.
When asked what she enjoys most about living at Legacy Village, Ms. Bueris says she loves the delicious meals, playing bingo and participating in art activities. In addition to her creative side, she has a passion for fishing and has always been quite skilled at it.
Recently celebrating a remarkable milestone, her 101st birthday, Ms. Bueris considers living to be over 100 her greatest achievement. She stated humbly, “The Lord has given me a long, wonderful life.” Her wisdom and gratitude shine through as she reflects on the blessings she’s received.
Ms. Bueris is the proud matriarch of a large family, including her sons, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and even one great-great-grandchild. We are truly honored to have Ms. Bueris Crumpton as a beloved member of our Legacy family, where her warmth, faith and joyful spirit continue to inspire all who know her.
